The Historic Homes Association and the City of Gonzales placed a “star” fence around the Eggleston House to preserve its historical significance. Meanwhile, Paul and Dianne Neuse purchased and restored the building that housed their business, Storey Jewelers Inc., in an effort to maintain its historic charm.
