Gun Collection Display Opens in Library

On May 28th, the 700 plus item gun and militaria collection, loaned by Charles DuBose for twenty years, opened in the Robert Lee Brothers Jr. Memorial Library. Mary Bea Arnold, lifetime devotee and historian of Gonzales, served as Come and Take It Celebration Parade Marshall. Mary Bea and her husband, Travis, were involved with the Gonzales Little Theatre.  She was the curator of the Gonzales Museum and as Mary Bea would say “Retired after 22 years, 4 months and 7 hours.” She was a charter member of the Gonzales Pilot Club. She was also a member of the Gonzales Czech Heritage Society, Catholic Daughters and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
