On February 27, the Sievers’ Health Clinic on Highway 90-A was dedicated. On May 16, the Guadalupe River flooded, reaching its crest at 23.34 feet. On July 22, the Board of Criminal Justice approved funding for an Intermediate Sanctions facility to be located in Gonzales. On November 29, the City Council approved curbing and paving for seven city streets in the 100 block that are tie-ins to the new US-183 by-pass (Water Street). The streets are St. Andrew, St. Francis, St. George, St. Lawrence, St. Louis, St. Matthew, and St. John. On December 16, thirty-nine intersections had their sidewalks realigned in order to make them handicap accessible. Lastly, Paul and Dianne Neuse purchased Storey Jewelers.
