Event Guidelines
These criteria can help ensure that the content shared by Tour Gonzales aligns with the objectives and maintains a positive and effective representation of the organization.
What do we do with your events?
When you submit events to us, you are submitting them for consideration for use on the Tour Gonzales website (www.tourgonzales.com), in promotional collateral, and social media outlets. If your event is expected to bring out of town visitors, it will be reviewed to be placed on our current billboards. Your submission of events to Tour Gonzales does not guarantee inclusion in all the above.
Event Guidelines for Website & Social Media:
Please allow 24-48 business hours for your event to be reviewed.
- Events must occur in Gonzales County or within a 15-mile radius.
- Events must be submitted at least two weeks prior to its start date or sooner.
- Events may not be restrictive of any groups or individuals.
- Event submissions must be filled out in their entirety – any submissions with missing info, including but not limited to event image, venue, description, dates, or website information may not be approved.
Event Guidelines for Billboard(s):
- Events must occur in Gonzales County or within a 15-mile radius.
- Events may not be restrictive of any groups or individuals.
- Event submissions must be filled out in their entirety – any submissions with missing info, including but not limited to event image, venue, description, dates, or website information may not be approved.
- Event must be expected to attract out of town visitors and locals.
- Event attendance will be taken into consideration with priority being given to events with 30 or more attendees.
- Please note that due to limited space, we have the right to select events that align with our criteria for promotion. While we’d love to feature every event, only a select number of spots are available. Additionally, please be aware that, at times, our billboard may reach full capacity. We encourage event organizers to submit details for consideration, and our team will choose events that best highlight the vibrant spirit of Gonzales. Thank you for understanding!
Events that are unlikely to be approved include:
- Fundraisers (Galas, Walks, Runs, Golf Tournaments, etc.)
- Religiously Focused Ceremonies or Functions
- Political Events
- Some Business and/or Networking Events (including trade shows)
- Some Seminars, Lectures and Workshops
- Business Grand Openings
- Deals, Discounts, Coupons or Promotions for Businesses
- Events Tour Gonzales has deemed as not being a Gonzales tourism-related event.
Once your event is submitted, it will be reviewed to ensure that it meets the above guidelines prior to being shared. Tour Gonzales staff reviews submissions and reserves the right to approve or deny events at its own discretion. If you believe that we mistakenly denied approval for any event, please contact us to initiate a discussion.
Should your listing need to be updated in any way, please email tourism@gonzalestexas.com to
ensure that visitors receive the most accurate information.
Additionally, by submitting imagery, you acknowledge that Tour Gonzales is authorized to use the image for promotional purposes. You are also allowing Tour Gonzales the right to use the photography for the purposes of promoting Gonzales, TX as a visitor and convention destination in any of Tour Gonzales’ promotional or marketing efforts.
Tour Gonzales has the right to change imagery and edit any descriptions to meet the needs and content requirements of Tour Gonzales.
