Constructed about 1857 from Indianola lumber. Served as residence, school, teachers’ boarding house and barrel shop. Here Fauth fashioned fine furniture from native walnut. In his barrels, Fauth shipped cane syrup and Tabasco peppers from J.B. Wells’ Willow Springs Ranch to Louisiana for production on McIlhenney plantation. Restored, 1964, by Ross Boothe. (1965)
